Theme Installation via WordPress

In order to download the theme files package, please log in to themeforest Marketplace. Go to the My Purchases page. Hover over the Download button and you will get a few options to download: Demo Data, Help File, Child Theme, Theme Files and License. Click the Theme Files button.

When you download the theme from themeforest Marketplace, you will get an archive file in .zip extension.
When done, you should see Hydro-onepage-wordpress-theme-theme-files.zip.

Please, follow the steps below to install your Hydro Theme.

Step 1 – Login to your WordPress Dashboard.

Step 2 – Go to Appearance > Themes. Click Install Themes tab, located at the top of the screen.

Step 3 – Click Upload.

Step 4 – Choose Hydro-onepage-wordpress-theme-theme-files.zip (or HydroWP.zip).

Step 5 – Wait while the theme is uploaded and installed.

Step 6 – Most of the included plugins are integrated into the theme, but for some you will be prompted to install and activate.

Common Theme Installation Problems

“Are you sure you want to do this?”

If you get the “Are you sure you want to do this” message when installing Hydro via WordPress, it means you have an upload file size limit. Install the theme via FTP if this happens, or ask your hosting company to increase the limit.

Missing stylesheet file

If you get an error saying that the stylesheet is missing, then you have uploaded the wrong folder. Please check that you are uploading the Hydro-onepage-wordpress-theme-theme-files.zip (HydroWP.zip) within the Theme Files folder. You have to unzip the file that you download from themeforest Marketplaces to find this.
