Here the related product work in the way of showing all the product from the collection X except the featured product which is currently viewing by customer. E.g If a collection X has A, B, C
While a customer navigate to the product A,. remaining products B, C will be shown as related products of A from the collection X.
This option can be added/disabled at the customization panel as follows.
